The god of valor.
Epithet: "The Valorous".
Vothdar is the god of strength, valor, and ancestry. His symbol is a mountain peak with an eye at the top looking down. Vothdar has been called upon by warriors in almost every battle to ever occur. To die in his name performing deeds of great heroism promises an afterlife in the Halls of Kortella, the warrior's rest. Here they will drink, fight, and have their tales of heroism recounted for all time. Calling upon Vothdar is not to be done lightly, however, for once you have called his attention, you every action will be judged. Should Vothdar be called upon to witness unworthy acts, then he will turn his back upon the coward who called him. Vothdar is opposed directly against Ghalnn, the god of slaughter.

Vothdar teaches his followers to be ever-vigilant and to protect their own kind. Valor and strength are noble indeed as individual strength makes the group more powerful as a whole. It is best to be strong and help the weak become more powerful as the weakest member of a group may hold it back.
Those who worship Vothdar are also taught to respect their elders and their ancestors as they are a source of great wisdom and knowledge. One should never be ashamed to learn lessons from those who have come before.

Vothdar is a dour and vigilant deity that looks after his followers needs. This deity tries to take the burden away from others, often overstraining himself. Vothdar gives praise where praise is merited and is also quick to point out others transgressions.
Vothdar most often appears as a burly humanoid with tanned skin. He always appears to be wearing some type of armor and carries at least two visible weapons at all types, most often a sword and a one handed axe.
Vothdar has a long memory and has been slighted by a number of gods over the millennia. These offenses have never been forgotten or forgiven. Those gods who have not slighted this deity are generally on neutral terms with him. Vothdar is opposed directly against Ghalnn, the god of slaughter.
Templar Harben Theorson (Thestran), Tursh: "Blessings of Vothdar be upon you."
Acolyte Kramon (Thestran), Tursh: "May Vothdar grant you the strength and wisdom of your ancestors."
Acolyte Kramon (Thestran), Tursh: "Take Vothdar's advice - help those who are weak to become strong, as the weakest member of a group will ultimately hold the whole back."
