I think my favorite deck before I quit playing was a blue deck filled with Horseshoe Crabs, Hermetic Studies, and Sigils of Sleep. Supported with some various counter spells and card drawing spells so I could get the items I needed and protect the creature and enchantments.
Can't sleep, clown will eat me.
You guys are making me want to get back to working on my Zombdrazi card cycling deck.
It got me itching to start up again as well but since I don't have a shop or group to play with nearby I decided to go and sell what I have left instead. The ad has been up for less than half an hour and I've already got a bid for €500.
Edit: that's with a retail value in perfect conditions (which a significant part of mine are not) of a little under €900.

Speaking of, my son mentioned wanting to play Rust
Unfortunately for him, the other computer is next to the TV in the family room so his game playing access is restricted by the wife's TV watchin' (which is often streamed from the computer anyway). Since your structures begin decaying 24-72 hours after you log out (unless you log back in and use them), it didn't seem worth it to have to start over each time you get to play.

Well, I got my copy of Dark Souls 2 yesterday. Working a double today and one tomorrow. I should try to remember to put it in the PS3 and do whatever installation dance I have to do either tonight or in the morning so I might actually get to play it tomorrow after work or Sunday.

yeah and if you have kids and want to play with them later you can always buy a lot of crappy cards for under 50 bucks on ebay and enjoy making decks out of dreck
As long as everyone is playing with dreck it doesn't matter

I'm way too competitive for that, or my wallet, if I play MtG. I always liked the old cards the most as well but Legacy is as expensive as Vintage used to be when I still played and the barrier for entry is just at $1000-1500 per deck at least in dual lands, fetch lands and Wasteland which are pretty much mandatory in every Legacy deck.
Hell, look at a deck like this that's competitive in Legacy and looks like a lot of fun to play, the pricetag for all those cards is around $3750. Even Goblins which is a relatively cheap deck because it uses so many cheap cards is still about $1750.

I'm considering putting some money aside for a PS Vita. I've had PS+ for a while now, and I would instantly have a library of over 30 games from PS+ games and cross-play titles (mostly the PS1/PS2 titles I've bought).
The Vita is a solid machine. The only real problem with it is that you have to buy incredibly overpriced memory cards if you want to download games. If you don't mind used, you can find some good deals. I paid 160 for mine, and it came with two games, a 16gig memory card and a travel case.

Don't Starve was the only game I played at all this weekend. My elbow hurts. In my best stretch I was almost through my second winter at 63 days. I dreamed of hounds.

I picked up Rocksmith 2014 since it was on sale for a $15. Much better song list than the last game and just overall better.
Haven't tried it yet but: Dead Cry - Total zombie conversion mod for Far Cry 3. New world, new plot, new all sorts of stuff.

and no, she didn't play magic the gathering... don't think it existed back then, but even if it had, she wouldn't have played it.
Lately I've been playing pokemon again. Doing lots of wheeling and dealing to collect Kalos-born legendaries and multiples of the fully evolved T-Rex pokemon because I like it but not enough to level the baby rexes by myself.

With the recent release of Dark Souls 2, there's no incentive for me to do so right now, since even if I can get some playstation time, it won't be spent on FFX. As soon as it hits a price drop, sale or I get really bored, I probably will.
