So... my advice to anyone trying to get someone who sucks at FPS but likes RPGs to play FPS... Borderlands 2 is a gateway drug

I've still been playing Monaco a lot. 100%-ed it last week, but I've just been jumping around helping people clean out random levels for fun.

Gave up on Deadlight. Nice idea, atrocious execution in that one. Needed to be more Limbo, less Bubsy.

I've got Metro 2033 thanks to a generous acquaintance. Might start that up, but there's also Dust 514 to review. E3's coming up, which ironically means I will be able to play no games.

FYI for Metro 2033, I liked the game a lot but be warned that the engine is optimized for crap. It's like the old Crysis meme. So if you don't have a monster of a machine, don't be shy about fiddling with the settings if the performance isn't there.

I personally thought it ran fine on my old i3-530 with the GTX 9800+ but I've heard plenty of opinions to the contrary about it.

Last Light is a new engine and runs much better.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. The rig's no monster, but it's solid. Will be ready to adjust as necessary.

Not sure if being sarcastic or...

Anyway If you need an invite to the guild I still have the game installed. Just dont ask me to play. Smite and LoL are my drugs of choice til sunday when Ill be netless then i have 300 gigs of games installed to burn through. Not sure if I should do Hitman, Sleeping Dogs, Blood Dragon, Mass Effect series, or insert other title here game first. Hopefully I can burn though my backlog quickly with no internet/tv to distract me.

I tried Smite last weekend, and its also the first MOBA game ive played. Is there any form of persistent progression with these games, or do you just start at square 1 every match?

There's nothing wrong with the latter, and it makes sense for fair competition, but that's just not for me.

FC3:BD is the shortest game, Hitman next. In case you want to tick stuff off your list.
