Yeah, I usually go to channel 3 or 4 for questing since there's less competition. I go back to Channel 1 if I'm standing around an instance entrance trying to find a group since that's where the people are.

Note that Area Chat covers all servers. So you could see a request to join a group for some quest, accept and have them all be on another channel. Mousing over their name in the party window shows what channel they're on (or just ask).

In the town on the island, there's a crystal vendor who sells crystals you can affix to your weapon and armor, if you haven't done so already. Crystals can be removed at will (only while still equipped), so you don't have to re-buy them for every upgrade. Anyway, there are some weapon crystals that give you MP regeneration, and armor crystals that give you HP regeneration. I think the level 11 crystals are something like 10 HP every 5 seconds apiece, and you can usually get armor with 3 slots (maybe only 2 on the island).

Also, I'm sure you realized this well before I did, but that dash ability you get on Warrior costs HP as well. I was using it to get around faster before I had a mount, and was wondering why my health was always so low. Smiley: lol

That's interesting. That one encounter that I mentioned above with the kill stealer, I had literally waited in line for my turn to take out the mob.

I'll need to go back and kill that first boss either way. Like I said, it was close. I have a couple damage modifiers that increase my dps output as my health goes lower. I need to take advantage of that.

Yeah stick with it. It's also very very easy to get a partner for that quest if you ask in /area chat.

I think I spent five minutes sitting outside BoL on my blue horse spamming spacebar as fast as I could.

I still have not re-DLed Tera. But I did finish FC3.

My thoughts on FC3:

I don't wan't it to be over yet. I had a great time playing and pretty much gorged on the game all weekend. That being said it still only took me about 32 hours to finish. I will say I skipped some of the side missions on the second island because once I had full crafting bags for everything the path of the hunter quests seemed kind of pointless.

Plus the main story quest had sucked me in pretty good by that point and I really wanted to see how things turned out. I did clear all of the outposts though and started really enjoying getting stealth kills and take downs on them. With two alarms instead of plinking one with my sniper rifle and then just shooting everyone I started to sneak into camps to manually disable them both from one.

Then I would try for as many take downs as I could get before all hell broke loose. Smiley: sly

As far as the ending, ENDING SPOILER HERE: Citra was hot and all but I could feel the crazy coming off her at the end. No way in hell I was going to slit pretty little Lisa's throat. I mean did you even see dat *** on her? Would be a shameful waste of pixels. But I did Youtube the alternate ending and was really glad I did not choose that route. Smiley: eek I then promptly went to reddit and read all of the theories on insanity, satire, trope, cliche, and parody. Honestly I was not thinking that deeply about it at the time. Just seemed a bit lame that I did not get a "send your friends home and become BRO-KING of the island" without the sexual stabbing bit choice.

I honestly thought that FC3 would at least have an option of finishing with you taking over the pirates/mercenaries and filling the power void left on the island. It seemed to make sense as you converted from scared rich kid to trained mass killer and went through the various psychotic episodes. After all, killing people "feels like winning".

I'm pretty sure that's what the Citra ending was supposed to be, but the higher-ups at Ubisoft probably thought promoting a game that has no visible downside to mass murder would be bad PR. Hence the "La petite mort" ending we have now.

Rockstar on the other hand never got that particular memo.

I logged in last night. I got my Warrior to 11 and got sent into an instanced - the first one. There was a merc there to help me, the trash was easy enough, but I died to the multi-limbed boss monster. It was pretty close but I died. I think I didn't need to die. I freaked when my health got lower than I'd yet seen it. Instead I should have pummeled the beast with even more ferocity instead of trying to dance around it. I quit for the night after that. I hate to have to start down the path of finding other people to help me with stuff. It's a big roadblock for me.
He was an utter cake walk with my sorceress. On the berserker, I almost died a few times. Took a lot of running while a regen potion healed me to finish him after my merc went down.

Yeah, I had a little trouble on Berserker, mostly from being overzealous and not wanting to cancel my attacks in order to get out of the way.

Oh, and the HP regen crystals for level 11 are 17 HP every 5 seconds, so if you stack three of those, you should be good to go.

I advise this. Don't buy the ones from the Specialty Stores though, they are also for level but they are 20hp each, so you are really only gaining at 9hp a tick at a higher price rate, which varies depending on which store you buy them at, since they are Vanarch Controlled.

I've been playing Slayer a bit, it's kind of boring. My first character is a Warrior, which is a much busier class. I was able to solo three man content fairly easily with a bit of patience on my Warrior, I doubt that I'll be able to do that on Slayer. Also, I have the Pirate Hat, Glasses, and the Cat Mask from the facebook thing they did back when the game was first released, on my Warrior. Sadly, they're only good for a single character...

Ok Between 28-30 it gets insane you get like 5 new moves and just its almost an overload, remembering what chains with wha, what glyphs would be good to use (+dmg on next chained moves etc). I mean luckily most stuff dies after one combo but jeeze its kinda nuts. I have to many skills to hit reliably on my skillbar 1-6 are easy access while holding a direction, after that its just Ugh, cause Ill hit the wrong button a lot

I have found many kindred Vitabros on NeoGAF, so yeah. I tried to engage about Vita few times here and they never caught on. Smiley: frown

I just started playing Dokuro and Life of Pixel on Vita and am enjoying both. I finally got platinum in Ni No Kuni last week (time is blending due to work, don't remember when exactly). I'm actually being rather ambitious this month. I started Bioshock 2 this week since I never started it after getting it cheap on Steam. I also plan on attempting Infamous 1/2. Should be interesting to see if I can complete all three by the end of this month. I've made it my mission to attempt to whittle down my backlog. I think my next, next, next, next game will be Nier.

I've done a pretty good job avoiding spoilers for it so far, but I have heard the fact that it's so amazingly good outweighs how depressing it gets.

Do you use WASD? You can try shifting over to ESDF. Personally, I use WERD, and feel that it gives me easier access to more keys than WASD, and rebind things like Guild pane to G with a modified (I like to use ALT, but with ALT bringing up menus in TERA, I'll sacrifice CTRL+G).

Same here. The berserker punished my impatience more than any other class there. A small price to pay for whirling awesomeness though.

Did anyone else catch the dragon they spawned outside of Lumbertown? Some kind of event thing? No idea what was going on but a bunch of 60s were fighting it, and countless dozens of us lowbies who were foolhardy enough to get close got in a couple of shots. When it died a GM congratulated everyone for defending the town, and we got a couple of teleport scrolls in the mail. Fun times. Smiley: grin

Eh, it's tougher than anything prior to it and does some stuff you'll see in later bosses (jumping around, etc) so I wouldn't begrudge anyone dying to him the first time. Especially since the rest of the game up to that point really lets you just stand there and kill newbie mobs via attrition and this may be the first time active dodging/blocking is required. A bit of a paradigm shift for traditional MMORPG veterans.

My Slayer is 38 and I have enough of a feeling for Cultists' Refuge (3rd dungeon) to start leveling my Mystic or Lancer into there. Logged in late last night, just in time to get a 15min server warning. Started up the new Tomb Raider instead.
