You did something that you built up as being unreasonable and it seems you ended up feeling rewarded. Pretty much what people have said you needed to do all along.
It still is unreasonable.
It took me months to find seven other people with schedules that worked just enough for us to meet one hour per week. It's kind of nonsensical for most of your end-game content to follow that model. I consider myself highly fortunate that I was able to find seven other like-minded and competent players who all have the patience to not bail because our progress takes so long.
Also, I'd said numerous times that I've been part of statics before. I'm not anti-static, and trust me -- my issue with anything in life is never motivation. My big complaint has always been that a static is required to make any kind of reliable and efficient progress in XIV's endgame scene. That hasn't changed. In fact, my static doesn't even want to touch savage-level content simply because we see no point in wasting so much time when we can only play for an hour/week.
That said, I'll attempt to unnuke your post since you were gracious enough to clarify your stance. I thank you for that. But you're still misunderstand where I'm coming from, and as a result, even your attempt at extending an olive branch comes off as a bit condescending. I get it, though, and appreciate your good thoughts.
