And yet, very understandable and expected. Thousands upon thousands are trying to get on at the same time, after all. I got in immediately but was kicked out several minutes later. Hyperion seems to be having '1014' issues (I don't know about other worlds), but that's fine. :) I want to get on, but I have all weekend. When I get on, I'll get on. No rush. :)

I'll be getting off work in 5 hours, so I'll see if it's any easier at that time. I expected issues like this, happens every MMO expansion. Please look forward to it.
Might be a good thing I'm working all weekend. Official forums are full of people who can't get on. Then you have the people complaining they can't create new characters on Balmung of all places. I don't even...Why, would you choose today as the day to create a new char on that server. Server with the biggest char creation restriction, expansion launch day, seems like a fantastic idea!
Just woke up. Going out for a very long run, and hoping to start attempting to log in around noon.
Not at all surprised by server craziness. It will calm down once everyone isn't slamming the servers.

I was hoping to see my access codes from Gamestop nope. I hope they have the disk in store today. If not I am not playing today. And I am off from work today and tomorrow. I won't be able to play much tomorrow though. It's my mom's birthday and I taking out for dinner and a show. And I am working Sunday.
They were having trouble with lobby servers for the first couple hours after launch. It seemed to settle down. I didn't have much trouble after 3:30 PST.
It is days like this I wish I wasn't a responsible adult. I had to log out and won't be back until late tonight.

I got hit by 5006 a bunch, but persistence paid off. Also it turns out that although my PS4 predownloaded a 1.7gig patch, then I downloaded another 3.XX gig patch yesterday, and registered Heavensward to mogstation from the prompts, it turns out that after maintenance I needed to restart the client to accept a licensing agreement and download another 2 gig patch before I could play.
So I essentially had everything good to go, then the quest to get into ishgard and the lvl 50 job quests were in red. Had to exit out and that download took 20 minutes. Once I got that done and beat the 5006 monster I was fine.

Surprisingly only tried twice. Second time, got in queue and logged straight in. Obviously it's early in the day here and things will get hectic later on, but it's not TOO bad right now (and this is on Balmung). Hopefully as people scatter throughout the areas things will settle down.
I had to try to log in a couple times when the servers first came up. However been in since I got in and have no issues with lag or dcing. Though I have heard others having trouble still.
I got one login fail, and a login queue, but no other problems all day so far.
