Weekly Goals and Accomplishments 5/8 - 5/15Follow

What are you hoping to get done this week?

- Pugilist to 25 at the minimum
- *(%&&* farm atma like I've been saying for the last month

I'm out starting next Wednesday for Anime Central, so I need to finish my Final Fantasy MMOs presentation for that, too.

This is a bit late, but here nonetheless.

1. Keep farming T10 and 11, pray for a t12 clear that knows what it is doing so they will let me into a t12 farm with no guff. I must find a way to sabotage Zero so he stops getting so lucky with all his drops, either that or have nightly rituals to rngesus to boost my own luck.

2. Need to finish up the tower quest for the week. So painful to force yourself to run ST and CT when you are already capped and the only thing out of there you can remotely use is a sands of time. Anyway, get a carbontwine with the tower quest. That will make 3. I know I will need them later for alts when poetics become uncapped.

3. Next week poetic cap and I will probably buy the 130 belt for blm, assuming I don't get it from t11. I might get a tomestone from tower quest just because.

4. I have been farming horses the last few days. Ifrit ex down 11 times, 3 drops, lost all 3. Leviathan Ex downed 5 times, 1 drop, lost that. Shiva EX 5 times , 1 drop, lost it. Ramuh Ex 3 times, 1 drop, lost it. Notice a pattern? My goal is to... ah nevermind, setting rng based goals is pointless.

Yesterday I got the healer hat out of WoD, and it marks officially that I am at least 110 in every battle job available. I think offhand pal 130, bard 126, war 126, blm 122, ninja 120. Then smn, mnk, drg, sch, and whm all between 110 and 120. Now if only I would learn how to play them all effectively...

I finally got all 99 logs for my Lucis axe, but still need 2 more moonstones. So, new axe on Tuesday. I've also got 10 of the clams for Lucis pole, but I'm a long way off for the rest of the items.

I've also been occasionally running WoD to get the last 3 items I need for Bard, but they just won't drop. I've seen hands twice, but lost lot. I've yet to even see the legs and feet. I can't count the number of times I've passed on those damn Ninja items...

I really really really want to be wrong on this, but I think you need 30 HQ Gigant Clams...

I did log in and play a bit yesterday! Got my bard to i122 (up from i120).

Also, I'm going to pull the trigger on that graphic card... going to wait a couple days before ordering though, just to make sure I'm home when it arrives (will be away a couple days this week).

Back in town after being away for a week, so I probably won't get a lot done in the time available by Friday. Try for the Tower weekly tonight with Verdha, while for Waenlona it's all about the gear upgrades from Soldiery and then running the dungeons that she's unlocked.

Yes, it's 30 clams for the seal. I didn't say that I was finished, just that I've gotten ten so far.

Verdha appears doomed not to finish the weekly Tower quest from last week. Kicked out by maintenance on Monday with the final boss at 5%, then finished the run last night but on trying to exit was kicked off with a 10105 and could not log back in. After 3-4 hours she was still locked out, and might still be for all I know.

Ended up creating a new character on another world, partly to experience the Ul'dah starting story, and also so I can check in with a trio of other long-lost friends from FFXI every week or three. My expectations were correct: Thancred is an *** even when your level is in the single digits. Maybe I'd feel different if this was a female character instead of a mustachioed lalafell of ambivalent morals, but in that case I think I'd just find him creepy too.

Ul'dah looked empty except for sprout-tagged characters, like there's a million other people locked in instances too, but I didn't see anything about it on the web. I'm figuring tonight's maintenance might fix that and restore Verdha from limbo if she's still there then.

Not a great deal of success this week.

Verdha missed out on one Tower quest, but did pick up another for an accessory upgrade. Lights moving way too slowly, still on "slight". Haven't even finished the chocobo challenge log this week, have to hit that hard tonight. On the other hand, she's slowly picking up the Det+ Tier IVs by catching price dips, and already has Alex ready to go -- the plan is to re-meld the Acc+5 into Det in the next few weeks.

Waenlona's been picking up atmas at a moderate pace, and slowly getting soldiery to push iLvl. I want to get her iLvl up some before I hit the HM dungeons and CT. Being off for a week-ish means I didn't get my RP fix this week either.

Kekerana was created and pulled up a few levels while Verdha was locked out on a "Verdha night", but way too late at night to connect with the old FFXI friends on that server. He's not really a priority, but is fun and lets me experience the Ul'dah starting questline.
