Asikko's Book
Bestowal
'My people's pride binds us. I do not wish to raise arms against my brethren, but I have been forced to do so. I will fight them when the time comes, though it does not please me. I am also bound by honour, and that honour must be satisified, even in the face of the First Hunter's betrayal.
'I know only names, not faces. The name I know is Gondranc, a man who knows well the crafting of leather and tanned hides. I promised to share with him the secrets of our art in return for the letters he once taught me.
'I wrote a book for the man before the betrayal, but it is lost now to the Rauta-lehma in the east. I dare not go there yet. Will you go to the camp of the traitors and find this book for me?'
Background
The Ranger Gondranc sent you to the Earth-kin camp to collect a book of leatherworking lore from Asikko, the Earth-kin's chieftain. However, when you arrived at the Earth-kin camp, Asikko told you the book had been stolen.
Objectives
Objective 1
Collect Asikko's Book [from the Rauta-lehma at Fashat Laug]
Asikko's book is hidden somewhere in the camp of the traitorous Rauta-lehma faction in Nan Amlug, east of the camp of the Suuri-lehma.
Asikko is hesitant to go himself to retrieve the book of lore from the Rauta-lehma for fear of provoking war too soon. Instead, he has asked you to retrieve the book for him. Objective 2
Bring Asikko's book to Gondranc
Gondranc awaits your return at Esteldin.
You successfully recovered Asikko's book from the camp of the Rauta-lehma. The Earth-kin chieftain has asked you to deliver it to Gondranc, fulfilling his promise to the Ranger.
Notes
Loc is 9.0S, 33.8W, a small hut in the middle of the Fashat Laug camp in the north eastern part of North Downs
If you enter the village along the path, turn left immediately past the hide-wall. See the hut? The book should be winking at you from under the tent-wall. Go to the back of the tent, angle line of sight until you can click on the book. You MAY be able to do this without a single kill.
Absolutely soloable so long as you KNOW where the book is. :)
