Hi everyone!

The last day of the closed beta phase of The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar is March 26th, 2007.

On behalf of Turbine and the LOTRO development team, I want to extend our thanks to everyone in the closed beta community for their contributions to the success of the Beta Program. Thanks to your efforts, we identified and killed thousands of bugs. Thanks to your feedback, we made thousands of changes to almost every other aspect of the game. Thanks to you, LOTRO is one of the most fun and polished games the MMO industry has ever seen!

But wait – we’re not done thanking you yet: Join us on the evening of March 26th on both Brandywine and Meneldor for some “End of the World” fun! And bring Minstrels. Bring lots of Minstrels.

After the worlds close, we’ll be wiping all Closed Beta characters and items from the game. Open Beta begins on March 30 for our Pre-order customers, and April 6th for everyone else. Pre-order customers will be able to continue playing any characters they create during Open Beta right through launch, so get ready – now it’s for real!

And now for the fun part! If perhaps on the last night, you partake in some "End of the World" fun and have great screenshots to show, please send them to me at darqflame @ zam.com and I will post a couple up! Even better if you have a little story to go along with it! Make it interesting and have fun!
