Honestly I usually like to solo and learn the bosses for the first time through, so I totally get not wanting to get boosted. I did sunbro some just for fun when I had a boss down. :)

*Frosty dog is waaaay easier to co-op. I actually did farm some souls there. I never got dancer summoned when I did it because I was to low soul level I think.

Sunbroing is just the best, isn't it? Smiley: grin

Anyway. Titanite Shards to level my pyro flame? 1.5/10 Worst Game EVAR! Smiley: wink

Anyway, but seriously. That's kinda annoying, but at least I've found enemies I can farm them from. Oh well. Onionbro and I downed a demon, I found the pyromancer and all is going well enough thus far. I've been saving vids of my boss fights and may upload them if I get around to it so you can all laugh at how rusty I am.

Like the other games titanite shards are stingy early on but you will be swimming in them eventually. Don't be afraid to add fire to a weapon either those drop pretty frequently later as well.

Onionbro is awesome, but man if I did not manage to bug his questline on all 3 of my play throughs... Poof onionbro is no longer where he should be because you just had to go to a place early for your build and broke the logic chain. Smiley: frown

I flamed up my starter axe and then, almost immediately afterward, found the dark axe in the first zone, which is a better base axe. So that's what I'm using. I farmed shards for a bit, getting enough souls in the process to open the tower. Downed two bosses today. Uploading my boss kill for Crystal Sage is a must, so I'll be uploading all of them in a few minutes here.

As with previous entries in the series, getting fire orb is just the greatest.

I know you said no maxed out weapons, but I can give you a +10 burn hand in exchange for the one you have if you want.

Definetly part of the fun for me. Shaking off the rust, laughing it off when you ***** up. Feeling your character grow and reach power breaking points.

Classic Souls, omg getting excited I got this, stay calm don't get greedy, one more hit, YES! ooops Smiley: blush

I do like how you conserved by using throwing knives on the clones though. Sage is one of those fights that seems spank easy when it goes well, but during clone phase it can go spectacularly wrong really fast. During my sunbro time there I saw a lot of hosts die because they tried to ignore the clones and burn the main one only to get wtfoneshot by dual clone barrages from opposite sides of the map. I always take those suckers down and try to keep the fight under control even if it takes a bit longer.

That one came by accident in the previous attempt, actually. I accidentally switched to knives after using a blue kool aid in prep for the adds, took a hit, tried to use the regular flask, and hit one with a knife. Then I had an epiphany, right before my brains splatted all over the floor. Smiley: laugh

Started Old Hunters DLC on my uber level 109 Blades of mercy toon yesterday. Not far yet but I caught the very first hunter that jumped me with a viceral on his first attack and pwned him. Smiley: nod I was so proud.

Noice. Love it when that kind of thing happens.

Anyway, here's some more vids. Deacons of the Deep and Abyss Watchers. Deacons was a bit hard for me. Kept dying during phase 2 to either damage or curse. So, frustrated, I went wandering around the Farron swampland looking for the two tomes I knew were in there, hoping maybe one would have something useful(also, wanted the shard I knew was in there somewhere). Well, I found something useful alright. First try using Iron Flesh, and bam, down. Abyss watchers was just easy for my playstyle, overall. Dodge back, Fire Orb when I got an opening, repeat. Died twice on the fight, though. Once to dodging sideways when I meant to dodge back, and once during phase one when the "stuck on the wall" boss ganked me.

Soloing unless I get frustrated enough, which hasn't happened yet. Or if I need to summon in order to get a piece of gear I want, which I think comes up later. Edit: Oh, I took out Wolnir today, but I forgot to save the vid. Smiley: frown

The video might still be there, just check all the 15 minute blocks to see if the fight is one of them.

Also not DS3 related, but I was just made aware of this. DS2 spoilers inside.

I don't have it set to auto record, so there were no videos. At best, I might have a screenshot if there's a trophy.

Three new boss vids. For the record, I found Old Demon King to be a major PITA. Might not have died so many times if I were using sorceries other than utility spells, but I want to do mostly pyromancy and weapons for damage. Ended up getting him on my first try after grinding up the souls to raise my faith high enough to use Black Snake. Meleeing was a nightmare. Kept getting stuck on his feet, or his elbow, or his tail. Then my camera would lose lock on randomly, causing me to run the wrong direction at the worst times.
Spoiler Text

Second boss was the Pontiff. Easy as pie. First try even.

Third boss was the first one I went in knowing a fair bit about, but only because I've been reading lore stuff on TVTropes, and of course they mention tag teaming Yhorm with OnionBro. Of course, my inventory is a mess and I spent a good 20s in the first fight just trying to find Stormbringer. Hence, OnionBro died, followed by me shortly after. Took me a couple tries to work out the dodge timing, but not a terribly difficult fight, overall.

Beyond that, my pyromancy arsenal is pretty much complete now that I've rescued Karla. Have Fire and Dark pyros, a Simple axe for magic damage(lost about 14 damage converting it, but that's aight), and a Knights Crossbow with lightning bolts if I really find myself needing lightning damage.

Edit: Heh. Arsenal gets caught by the google filters.

Did you get Creighton's invasion? His axe is amazing with raw infusion and then elemental buffing it.

I did. That might be something to look into, though I do still kinda like the Simple axe for a few extra spells while clearing.

Edit: Huh. I hadn't considered it because it's a lightning weapon, but the wiki says it is, in fact, buffable. Might consider that with lightning weapon for bosses that I'm gonna melee.

Best part is that the even raw the lightning effect tends to stunlock some enemies.

So, apparently, it has an interesting property where if you give it Faith scaling of any kind, the lightning - which normally doesn't scale - begins scaling. Sounds like if you give it a Blessed enchant, you could actually get both Physical and Lightning to scale off of your faith. It would lose its ability to be buffed, mind you, but hey, it's an interesting thing. Edit: I kinda wonder how it'd work with a Hollow enchant, now that I think about it.

Killed four more bosses last night(3 one shots, one where I ended up going to a different area to get the mats to full upgrade my flame after like a dozen tries). Vids tomorrow, probably. Got a thing tonight, where I'm hoping not to be judged too harshly on my pathetic attempt at making a bday cake.

I checked all the infusion scaling and seriously nothing compares to Raw. If you were going with a Faith based infusion then double down on Lightning, Blessed just gives you a very minimal HP regen.

That fire demon is no joke lol. I pretty much cheesed him every time (bow for days on my non caster toons). Dark Orb works great btw. It even hits harder than GCF on some mobs.

So there I was in Bloodborne cruising along, thinking wow the DLC is almost bright, dusty but brighter at least. I'm totally going to do this, get back into it and stuff. Then I got to the first boss. Now I can take vagi tooth faced bosses. ( I guess if I have too) I can take genticles for days. But for some reason the moment I saw that retarded dog face boss I was done. Full stop. I'm not playing anymore. I'm out.

But the good news is I started a new toon in DS3! Oh man the magic is back. Dark souls forever, it's such a slight bit of differences but I prefer DS over BB immensely. So I rolled a new Herald, decided it's ok if he does not use spears sometimes and gave him a Astora Straight Sword (raw). It's lurvley. I plan to mix in some spears later but man that raw astora sword is so fookin great early.

Just kicked crystal sage to the curb. Enjoying the run so far. I wish they would just crank out a new Dark Souls every year. DS 7 the Wrekonater returns. Would pre-order. ***** Bloodborne though.Clausterphobic mind rape ****** dog bosses is not what I want. Plus ***** you I want a shield. And dragons, and flaming space whales and flaming unicorns. Actually nix those last two but I also played the opening to MGSV this week, then promptly lost interest in the game.

Death to giant crabs! I say.
