Gunderic Grubb
Stock
Bestowal
'Welcome to the Golden Perch! have a draught of Old Withywindle. It has won the Four Farthings Brewing-moot three years running, but I'm afraid I may not win this year, as I don't have much of the old stock left! Somehow or other, my yeast mash has gone bad, and some fool let mould get to my dried store. It happens, but my yeast is special. It's what makes the Old Withywindle so good! So I had to get more. I figured, let's try the best that Bree-land has to offer, so I got old Barliman Butterbur to send me a packet from The Prancing Pony.
'The thing of it is... it seems that the packet never arrived! Nor the waggoner neither. What I think happened is those blasted brigands camped out west of the Marish have gotten the waggon. The camp is in the hills south of Woodhall, about mid-way between Tuckborough and old Maggot's farm.
'They say as you are one who can deal with problems like those brigands. What say you head out that way and see if you can find my yeast among their ill-gotten goods?'
Background
Gunderic Grubb, innkeeper of The Golden Perch is entering the Four Farthings Brewing-moot.
Objectives
Objective 1
Gunderic Grubb has sent you to search a brigand camp for his missing package of yeast
The brigand camp is in the hills south of Woodhall, about midway between Tuckborough and Maggot's farm. The Golden Perch Inn is in Stock, east of Woodhall.
Objective 2
Bring the missing package of yeast back to Gunderic Grubb
Notes
The yeast is a VERY tiny pouch on the ground by a tent where the Brigand Boss (level 11) sits ( 35.1s, 66.9w ). You can take the left hand path into the backside of the camp, going to the right after descending from the top, and work your way across to the middle camp, kill the Boss to take the pouch IF you can stealth or invis. Without invis you will need to fight your way steadily along the left path down to the middle camp and in. Keep moving as the mobs respawn fairly fast.
The brigand camp area is called Narrowcleeve. From Stock, head southwest to the top of the waterfall. You will see the hoodlums across the river, and a path that leads uphill (33.8s, 66w). Keep on the move, for respawn is fast. There is a path to the left that leads behind the camps. While this is a good shortcut for another quest, do NOT take it for this one; you will find the yeast in the second camp on the right-hand side, near a Brigand Boss, a solo mob (35.1s, 66.9w).
