The Bane of the Bog  

'Mabon is not the first child to disappear from these lands. For the past several months, nearly one vanishes per week from Avardin, mostly orphans. They disappear in the night...naught but a few tracks heading to the south-west are ever seen.

'Those who have caught a glimpse tell of a horrible creature, an abomination of nature, striding across the plains with a bag over his shoulder, filled with lost children.

'If you wish to find this boy you must venture to the swamps. Head south-west along the roads until you find Dunbog. They may know more of this abomination there.'

Dunbog is an untamed swamp to the south-west of Avardin. Few live there by choice.

Dunbog lies to the south-west of Starkmoor.

Eva told you of a terror in the swamps of Dunland who comes in the night and steals away orphans and lost children
