'It's all over now; I care not a whit for them! Let 'em suffer, I say. They should have listened to me and saved their own lives; could be they're wanting for the blade they stuck me with, eh? Ha ha ha!'

Scristan's laughter seems to cause him pain, and he wheezes with the effort of it.

'But I don't like being deceived, Race, and that gaunt fellow's coin wasn't good enough to get me to go further into this place without explanation. I want you to make him pay for tryin' to use us. His coin'd need to be better to get Scristan to throw his life away!

Scristan laughs again, painfully.

'My life's been thrown away, without my consent! That's a good deal cheaper, it seems. Find this gaunt fellow, this Ferndur, further in and make him remember me.'

Background

The mercenary Scristan has been left for dead by his former allies, but he wants you to avenge himself upon his employer, the Gaunt-lord Ferndur.

Objectives

Objective 1

  • Defeat Ferndur the Virulent within the Lost Temple

    • Ferndur the Virulent is further within the crypts of the Lost Temple.

    The mercenary Scristan believes that the Gaunt-lord intended to throw away the lives of the mercenary band he hired, and Scristan wants him to pay for it.

    Objective 2

  • Talk to Elrond in the depths of the Lost Temple

    • Elrond wishes to speak with you about your defeat of Ferndur the Virulent.

    You have defeated the Gaunt-lord Ferndur in the depths of the Lost Temple, and now Elrond wishes to speak with you.
