let me add to this - head out of Budgeford north towards scary - on the way out of town you'll come to a wall with an arched opening at the co-ordinates above and you should see the journal on the ground. I was looking near the greenfields because of the description - it's nowhere near there.
if you don't know how to use co-ordinates, simply say ";joc" (without the quotation marks)

'It looks like the arrow came from somewhere directly north of here, near the hedge-gate leading to the Greenfields. I'm too frightened to go over there -- who knows what is lurking there -- but could you go there for me and see what you can find?'

When Wilimar Bolger woke up this morning, he found a threatening arrow stuck in the door of his home. The arrow's head was of hobbit-make, although very old, while the shaft looked like it was made by Men.

On the way out of town you'll come to a wall with an arched opening, look to the right along the south side of the wall, to a tree. There is a backpack, a journal, and a bow. When you get the message that you found it the journal will start blinking, and not before. Gather the journal, then return it to Wilimar Bolger.
