I can recommend this area.
Start at Ost Barandor in the NE. Two nodes up there.
Ride SE at a moderate distance from the cliff to river.
Follow the river back to just south of Ost Barandor.
Then up the hill to abandoned watch and start over.

Silver Ore is found in a few places:
-North Downs (North of Minchams camp, Fields of Fornost and other places)
-Lone Lands
-Bree-Land (North of the Brandy Hills, over the river into the forest where the giant dwells)
--Barrow Downs
-On the Greenfields north of Brockenborings and east of Scary in the forest by the Brandywine River
-Evendim, east of Ost Forod where the ghosts lurk near the road to Fornost
-Anywhere barrow iron can be found, if you mine barrow iron it might re-pop as silver ore, so mine it all
The best place, in my opinion, is where the giant dwells north of the Brandy Hills in Bree-land

What are some of the best places to find Silver Ore?
I only know of getting it semi-readily in the Greenfields area of The Shire.
