This mob is for a Champion class quest. He does not drop a shard of any type. His respawn is almost instant & I've had to kill him a number of times (including when I needed to kill him for my class quest).

No shards. Just regular trash drops if you don't have the quest.

Actually, the shard I posted because he did drop one twice for me on my champion.
