LotRO: Riders of Rohan Delayed

We ride! Eventually!

Kate Paiz, Executive Producer for Riders of Rohan and Lord of the Rings Online, has dropped some rough news - the expansion's delay.

There are too many problems popping up for them to squash quickly, so the date has been reset to October 15. On the bright side, anyone who's pre-purchased the expansion gets a grab-bag of free stuff. The free content includes 500 Turbine points, an hour long double EXP boost, Slayer Deed Accelerator (also an hour), bonus 20% Renown (3 hours) and Mount Speed (1 hour), a Tome of Defence, and a Scroll of Finesse.

Are you disappointed by the delay? Or happy that Turbine is taking the extra time? Let us know below.

Definitely happy that they're taking the time they need. I'd rather wait for truly kickass content than get meh content now. This is ROHAN we're talking about, one of the most iconic areas of Middle-Earth after Gondor and Mordor. How will we all feel for the rest of our existence in Middle-Earth if it isn't just right?

History shows that studios who take the time produce the best work. In particular, I'm thinking of Valve and Blizzard. I laud Turbine for their willingness to take the heat and turn out a (hopefully) polished expansion. :)
