Should have said "strangeness." No confirmation of Tilda Swinton, but it is mentioned.

We send Ant-Man on a very weird, mind-bending journey at the end of Ant-Man. It was something we hadn’t seen in a shrinking movie before, but it also represents the tip of the mind-bending weirdness we’re going to do in Strange, which I think will surprise people.
Neat, even if it is lip service. MIcroverse confirmation? Hulk and Jarella?

Pretty much the definition of clickbait, but Peyton Reed and Kevin Feige discuss possible direction of Ant-Man franchise. I'm all for a movie where Pym goes on science adventures through the micro- and macroverses.

Marvel announces another actress for Daredevil's second season. Elodie Yung cast as Electric Nachos. Has the look, which is always a plus. Also, she has experience as a ninja, in GI Joe Retaliation, so that's also a good sign. Also, she's not Jennifer Garner.

Also no more hokey capeflicks for Ryan Reynolds after Deadpool, not including potential sequels.

She's 50. That makes me feel like a not yuts. Guess they're going more Ultimate May instead of 616 May, so labeled by age and not universe. Tomei is pretty dead on balls accurate for that.

In other good news, Deadpool to not be schizophrenic, which is another sign of distancing themselves from Daniel Way.

Jessica Jones vidyas. Shows Jessica and Luke Cage.

According to SDCC reporting, Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns are co-writing the next solo Batman movie, there's an Omen sequel TV series in the works (You know, "I DID IT ALL FOR YOU, DAMIEN!" Omen), and Jada Pinkett Smith says she wants to be in the next Suicide Squad movie. Between that and the possibility of a Static movie starring Jaden, just how far can Will's Hollywood credibility stretch before he's unhireable?

Walking Dead season 6 info came up shortly after I started getting ready to leave work. October 11 premiere night. Also a lovely trailer. Admittedly, this season's shows are during a stretch of the book that I found pretty boring, but the show usually finds ways to deviate from the source so who knows for certain. Also Ethan Embry joins the cast (and appears on the trailer), who I can't really remember even with a quick IMDB search.

As for the Fear the Walking Dead spinoff, that one is looking to zombify LA on August 23. And, I'm not sure why, but it's also getting a Fear the Talking Dead after-show spinoff for the first season, and if the ratings permit continue onwards.

While we're on premieres, Ash vs Evil Dead is set for October 31 on Starz. Also stars Lucy Lawless, who hopefully survives longer than her previous television appearance on Agents of SHIELD.

Leslie Uggrams to be Blind Al in what is now going to be the best cape movie ever created. TJ Miller as Weasel, Morena Baccarin as Copycat, and Sean Quan as Ten Year Old Boy.

DC to animate The Killing Joke. Hamill has been championing it's creation and would probably come out of Joker retirement for it. Considering the ****storm the last time over the subject matter I can't imagine this going over well. Should be fun to see.

Saw a Deadpool leak, which won't be aired on TV. Lots of swearing. They're really focusing on the Hard R rating. Doesn't really do anything for me. A bit unnecessary to be honest. "You look like Freddy Kreuger's face fucked the topographical map of Utah." A couple chuckle worthy jokes and wall breaking "Just don't make the super suit green. Or animated!" lots of action, which appears to be mostly the leaked test footage plus some extra. But I admit it was a little hard to see, since it was a cellphone video.

There's a Suicide Squad as well, but I've yet to snag a view of that one yet.
Warner Bros Statement wrote:
“Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed.

Well, Leto sounds like he'll be a decent Joker. The little bit they showed of his mannerisms aren't bad either. But I don't think it'll be enough to forgive that horrible Juggalo damaged BS design. Harley doesn't sound like she has her thick accent, but it's an early trailer so that might change or it might be more noticeable when she has more than three word lines.

Green Lantern Corps movie to feature multiple Green Lanterns. Ryan Reynolds' movie shunted from continuity.

In a slightly less related but exciting for me note, Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness on a Deadpool and Spider-Man team up book. I could skewer adamentium.

Maybe the script and acting can save it, but personally casting and costume design are pretty important elements when it comes to cross platform media. Weak segue into pointing out that Tilda Swinton confirms her role as the Ancient One in the Dr Strange movie. I'm bitter it isn't James Hong.

Featuring interviews with Alan Menken, Randy Newman, Patrick Doyle, Mark Watters, Bruce Broughton, Richard Sherman and many others. Producer/director Dave Bossert will lead a star-studded Q&A following the presentation.

Michael Chiklis, known for being stoned on a pair of bad movies, to be a regular on the next season of Gotham. Also, apparently Sony has acquired the rights to make a movie based of emoticons called "Emoji," proving just how starved for scripts Hollywood has become. There's also a Sword in the Stone live action movie in the works, with Bryan Cogman on board. Bryan, as you may know, is a writer on the Game of Thrones tv show. That's a fun combination.

This just in. Jimmy Akingbola cast as Baron Reiter, aka Baron Blitzkreig, the leader of the neo-Nazi organization Shadowspire, for the next season of Arrow. Also next seasons episode 4 of Flash and Arrow will be crossovers leading into Legends of Tomorrow. I dunno if I posted it (*Heh, scrolled up and I guess even I don't read this thread), but Echo Kellum is in the show as well as Curtis Holt, aka Mr Terrific. Rounding out the cast is Neal McDonough as Damien Darhk, leader of HIVE, and finally Alexander Calvert as Lonnie "Anarky" Marchin.

Dr Michio Kaku, the theoretical physicist slash futurist slash comic book nerd, hosts a featurette where he explains the science behind Fantastic Four science. Powers, teleportation, wormholes, invisibility, the works. On note, I won't be seeing the movie, at least opening weekend and possibly not even at theaters due to lack of interest in Fantastic Four, and the last two movies weren't exactly confidence boosting. But, you know, f'in Michio Kaku talking comic books is neat.

Tyrese Gibson in talks for Green Lantern role, presumably John Stewart. Now WB just need to get Vin Diesel and the DCCU can have a 2 Fast Justice 2 Furious League movie on their hands.

John Francis Daley and Jonathan M Goldstein, the directors of the upcoming Vacation movie, confirmed they're co-writing the next Spider-Man movies. They've also written Horrible Bosses 2 and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Not the greatest pedigree, guess we'll see with Vacation and when we get more actual news.

Gambit, staring Channing Tatum, reported to have a budget of around $155m, which is a pretty massive amount when you consider Gambit is an untested character for films and that 2013 The Wolverine's budget was only around $120m. So they're really throwing some weight behind this for Jackman's departure. Also, the casting sheet.

Adi Shankar, who produced the immensely popular and controversial “Power/Rangers” fan film, will step into the director’s chair for the first time with his new drama “Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets,” Deadline reports.

Shankar will direct the drama alongside Stewart Yost, who will also make his directorial debut with this project. The report compares “Gods and Secrets” to Alan Moore’s “Watchmen,” in that the new project will explore the darker side of superhero conventions. Created by Shankar, Jenni Powell (“The Lizzie Bennett Diaries”) and Shawn Deloache (“New Adventures of Peter and Wendy”), the drama will follow the secret lives and celebrity of the Guardians of Justice, particularly after a tragedy strikes the group and sparks a war.

Jackson Rathbone, Kellan Lutz, Sharni Vinson, Andy Milonakis and WWE’s Diamond Dallas Page have signed on to star in the project, with Rathbone and Discourse Media producing. It is unclear at this time whether “Gods and Secrets” is a film or television series; CBR has reached out for comment.

“Gods and Secrets” won’t be Shankar’s first foray into superhero filmmaking, as he’s delivered a series of well-received short films that include “The Punisher: Dirty Laundry,” “Venom: Truth in Journalism” and “Judge Dredd: Superfiend.”
Could be neat.

Denise Richards (“Starship Troopers”) and Jane Seymour (“Live and Let Die”) have signed on for “Gods and Secrets,” Adi Shankar’s directorial debut.

Richards plays Laura Lang, a CIA agent and the wife of a superhero, while Seymour’s Addison Walker helms a villainous organization. As announced yesterday, Shankar will direct the drama alongside Stewart Yost, who will co-direct the project. Created by Shankar, Jenni Powell (“The Lizzie Bennett Diaries”) and Shawn deLoache (“New Adventures of Peter and Wendy”), the film’s official description reveals,
Quote:
“Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets” explores the darker ramifications of a world with super heroes, both on the people they protect, and the heroes themselves. Tragedy has struck the Guardians of Justice, and in its aftermath secrets are revealed, lives are changed, and the war to end all wars begins. Death, secrets, and lies threaten to tear the Guardians of Justice apart, and the world with them.
The film also stars Jackson Rathbone as Blue Scream, a superhero hero reality star with a sonic scream; Kellan Lutz as King Tsunami, who rules the sea; Sharni Vinson as the Speed, a speedster like her moniker; WWE’s Diamond Dallas Page as Knight Hawk, a Batman-like vigilante who uses his fighting and detective skills to combat the worst of humanity; and Andy Milonakis as popular talk show host Phil Hart.

“With ‘Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets,’ we are hoping to show that the most interesting thing about a character that is superhuman isn’t the super, but the human,” explained deLoache in a statement.

Rathbone and Discourse Media will produce.
