No... not now. How did get here the first time? We all got here the first time because of whatever MMO we were playing at that time, probably. Does anyone play games anymore? I started as a brash young adult with warped views of life. I was a 19yo virgin mael with it all figured out playing some FFXI. Some may remember a troll, some may remember nothing at all, and probably nobody remembers that i won best looking male of the asylum SHOUT OUT LADY DEADSIDE DEMON. Brings a tear to my damn eye. damnit. im here to ignite some souls!!!! Does anyone play any video games anymore?

I play some single player stuff as it comes up and interests me. Finished Metro: Exodus not long ago. Only multiplayer thing I've been doing lately is The Division 2. Got onto the bootleg City of Heroes server but haven't done much except recreate favorite old characters.

I've gotten back into D&D after a long, long hiatus and play either weekly or biweekly depending on how my schedule allows and what's available. I have plans to run a game but, before I could start, got invited into a regular game and so that had my time tied up. Between games, I pain minis as the mood grabs me.

Better than people or small animals I suppose.

I've been consistently disappointed with PC games. Best games I've played as of late include Return of the Obra Dinn, Snake Pass, and A Hat in Time. Tales of Beseria had a disappointing combat system, Nino Kuni 2 was basically a Tales game. Pillars of Eternity 2 was a lot of complexity for very little depth.

I'm currently playing Apex Legends for a multiplayer, largely because it is the only game my friends and I can agree upon. But Battle Royales have pretty significant inherent problems that are difficult to overcome.

I'm in a Pathfinder campaign set in the Warhammer universe. I prefer D&D 4, but I've largely played out all the content there is in that game. D&D 5 is too much of a halfway point between the extreme polarity of D&D 4 and D&D 3.5, so might as well go full 3.5 with Pathfinder.

I'm learning C# and Unity with some vague and half-hearted desire to build my own games (primarily an RPG), largely because I;m so annoyed with the direction the genre is going (Western RPGs are just garbage, **** Dragon Age, **** Mass Effect, **** Witcher, and **** Elder Scrolls) while JRPGs seem to have become less popular.

Apex, Warframe, FedII, Zero Dawn currently.

Also play Infinity and Batman the Game once or twice a week when I can. I prime minis and pretend I'm going to paint them someday because I have 5 kids at home.

Originally brought here by Everquest.

Currently playing War Thunder, World of Warships, Crossout and Lord of the Rings Online (all on a PC).

Mostly LoTRO as the pace is slower than the others and Bijou gets blinder every day. I am in no hurry to level up in LoTRO because there are an zillion little side quests that usually reference some vague thing in the books and flesh them out into their own little stories.

Quite enjoyed LOTRO when I played it for a while. Forgot account details and as such lost all of the expacs etc and couldn't get back into it when I started a new account.

Well. I'm still a moogle ******. I just play on a free private server now so I can live like it's 2005 forever, or you know, until I die or whatever.

I came to find answers to my many questions about Everquest. Kao had them.

I'm currently playing one facebook game called Mighty Party - it's a bit like Hearthstone but the games are quicker. My husband asks me about once a week how it feels to stomp children in a video game. I find it's much more satisfying to ask how it feels to be a video gaming kid and get stomped by a granny.

I also continue to inch forward in Lord of the Rings Online. I'm determined to see that dam ring tossed into Mt. Doom. I've many characters, but continue to trudge along with my original Minstrel (though she's had many name changes). I think I'm up to level 87. I've a long way to go.

I'm also involved with a table-top group (though we do it remotely). We're playing Starfinder - my son is the GM. This is my first foray into this type of gaming. I have to make an effort each week to slow myself down, listen and follow the story line, and not automatically jump into combat as the solution to every encounter.

How old is zam now?

I understand how Allegory can hate WRPGs, but I don't understand how the same complaints magically evaporate away when JRPGs come up. They're still applicable. They're just joined by an inane, disjointed story padded out with forty+ hours of grinding starfish anuses.

Oh, and I came here for WoW, of course, a fun game that I'm very glad I quit the best part of a decade ago. A D&D group would be great, but for some reason I don't have many friends. I know, it's hard to believe. At the moment I'm playing X-COM 2 and blasting aliens in preparation for Trump's second term.

This is embarrassing, but I started private ff11 server to relive the old times. Needless to say, nothing is a good as memories. Then again, it is oddly neat to play a part of gm. And boring. But the music.. that god damn music is still stuck in me..

FF messed me up as a human being. Odds are I could have been way more adjusted if I did not start playing it. Then again, I would probably obsess over something else. Who knows. I play less and less now though.

edit:

I don't remember how I got to alla site though. Someone must have mentioned it. That is how I learned about ffxiah. I certainly did not touch asylum for years.

mini-edit after I read other comments:

We play d&d as a mini date night every now and then now. First campaign and we almost wiped twice already.

As computer rpgs go, Divinity 2 and Grim Dawn kept me somewhat amused. I am really looking forward to cyberpunk though.

I do!! I was staying at my brothers place in 2005 (he'd been playing EQ since launch) and on my first day of playing I'd ask "Hey, Pat, how do I "xyz"? He'd be all like "Oh! Just blah blah blah. All day. It was awesome.

Day 2 on EQ: "Hey, Pat? What is (item_whatever) for? And he was all like "LOOK IT UP!! I'M ON A RAID!!", and told me where to go.

Good times...

I was brought here by EQ. Trolled a bunch, Kao or Dana deleted my first 500 posts because I went and spammed a shock video to all of the boards.

All of them.

Kao was nice enough not to ban me.

Yeah. That one.

Also there appears to be a Super Secret Zam discord group now. But if I told everyone about it, it wouldn't be a secret. Smiley: drool

Buy? I didn't know Discord ever cost anything. There might be some kind of premium but I don't see anything out of the ordinary. I don't know who half of these people are though but I'm sure they're someone.
