Your insinuation was that the BBC is going to ridiculous lengths in its headlines to push some kind of agenda. Obviously your comment was supposed to be funny, my point is that it has no basis in reality.

To be fair, my insinuation is that BBC is going to minor lengths in its headlines on a relatively consistent basis. Now, I don't think their agenda is sinister, but instead a backfiring attempt to maintain calm and avoid a backlash among people who are beginning to freak out a bit. But mostly, I'm just trying to be funny, because it's either that or go buy some plate mail and practice shouting "Deus Vult!" in front of a mirror like people on social media seem to be starting to do.

The BBC has enough journalistic integrity that it requires some kind of credible source before it makes claims in its news articles; as soon as identifying information is confirmed it is included. That this is mistaken for some kind of agenda is ******* tragic.

Maybe it's just the change of pace, but even if true that seems preferable to the "PANIC NOW! KEEP WATCHING THIS BECAUSE IF YOU MISS AN IMPORTANT DETAIL YOU MIGHT DIE!!!" stuff that's so prevalent over here.

Yeah. Whenever there's some "breaking news story", I'll usually watch about 15 minutes and then change the channel. At that point in the story, they're just repeating the same facts you've already heard and adding whatever random speculation they can find someone to tell them. May as well just walk away and come back the next day to see what actually happened.

I could stand the repetitiveness a bit more if it wasn't for the fear-mongering. It's bad enough on most conventional news/media sources, but a 24-hour station is enough test one's sanity. Was stuck in a waiting room with CNN playing the other day, damn... to think I used to like them as a news source. Smiley: oyvey

You've heard of Sex Sells, now get ready for Fear Sells.

I wonder if there is some way I could combine the two and become an overnight billionaire.

Opportunity is waiting. Smiley: wink

France?

His wife goes shopping there, so he probably won't bomb them. At least until we see the styles that are coming out for next year I'd imagine.

Don't know, that sounds like a reason to bomb them.

Naw they're Democrats, everyone knows it's the women that wear the pants in those relationships. If he bombed France before a shopping trip he'd be sleeping on the White House lawn for a month.

Probably got shot by police while they were out shopping late at night. Should have had more American flags with them, obviously. Would have prevented it.

Michelle Obama should take one of those "How not to make the police kill you at a traffic stop" workshops.

Obamas should do what all good patriotic Americans would do and get Russian.
