So, Patience has posted the official patch notes for Shores of Evendim. I would post them all here for you browse, but it's THREE THREADS on the official forums!

You can find the threads posted here by Jophiel if you don't want to or can't go to the official forums. The official newspost here on allakhazam can be found here and the direct link to the official forums here:

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Please keep all discussion to this thread though to keep everything central and hopefully without having 20 million threads pop up.

Thank you.

Well, in all fairness, this sticky was in the works as you were posting your thread.. "Great minds think alike"? Smiley: lol

* Light Gondorian Kite Shield had heavy shield stats. The light shield now has light shield armour class.

Booo!

Ok, ok... everyone knew it was going to be fixed. But, still, having a 430AC shield on a Captain was good times Smiley: smile

No more sprinting every 3 minutes =(... Ah well. Hopefully it'll be a tad more balanced with the PvMP now. I like the idea of the epic armour sets, although it's a tad Diablo-esque.

Would it be possible for someone to copy/paste the patch notes? The official site is blocked for me at work.

I already posted them here (it's locked and the admins want the discussion in this thread but the notes are there).

Be warned that reading through all them won't do your work productivity any favors.

Overall, I am beyond ecstatic about all the fixes and updates. Rate up to Turbine for looking out for their playerbase and providing things we want. Now if only there was more bankspace.

My eyes! They're bleeding...

Those patch notes were even longer than a certain asylum posters' longer posts... And in places gave me a bit of a snigger..

There were some invisible walls appearing on the slopes of Weathertop. We made them...disappear. Come on, who writes this stuff? Invisible walls are invisible how do they - what? It's still on? Oh, umm. We removed the offending walls.

Very good. Seems the Turbine bods have managed to retain a sense of humour throughout the last coupla months. Smiley: grin

It took me 40 minutes to just read the notes. They must've been working pretty hard to get all that stuff sorted out in time for this update. And for free to the punter too.

I gotta say that I'm pretty happy with my $10 a month contribution to Turbine so far.

(sure glad I didna waste my time an' money on Vanguard)

Long may it continue.

Took me 30 mins to read the notes, but I glossed over the changes to quests. I like the changes they made to the cook (lots of harvestable stuff no longer available from vendors) but I'll be very interested to see if the changes to the farmer actually work out. Balance issues (including preventing gold farming) in online games is very tricky to get right, but I'll be happy to see vegies on the AH going for reasonable prices. :)

I like all the fixes and improvements, but the biggest for me is to be able to hit the Enter key to "Loot All". :) My God, was it ever annoying to have to click on the damn button all the time!

Kudos to Turbine for a job well done. There will be more changes needed in the future, but here's hoping these patches silences a lot of the criticism they've had from players. Much of which was unnecessary criticism, in my humble opinion.

Weavers = Lots more fun now.

Which explains how I managed to get into an all-weaver group last night instead of being the sole spider in a full raid of Creeps.
