Bestowal

'Oi! Lend a man a hand, won't you? These cursed goblins captured me after I made honest effort to trade. Oh, I know it's wrong, but a man's got needs, and one of those needs is eating, friend.

'I ain't had myself a square meal since heading north with those fellows what moved on the Bree-fields, and I'm not like them. I just want to get by and earn enough coin to purchase a patch of land to call my own.

'If you don't help me, I'll be lucky to last a night. These goblins keep saying that they want to trade me to Orcs at Midgewater Pass. If you take me south-west to The Forsaken Inn, I'll give you some coin and a pick from the treasures I found in the ruins. We have a deal?

Background

Pengail says that he meant to trade with the goblins, meeting his obligations to Thomas Thistlewool in Bree-town. The goblins double-crossed him and took him captive and now plan on trading him to the Orcs encamped in the Midgewater Pass.

Objectives

Objective 1

Speak with Pengail

Objective 2

Help Pengail escape from the goblins

Objective 3

Anlaf the Forlorn

Notes

The previous quest, A Polished Pendant, is not required to receive this quest but it does lead to it.

You will have to follow this idiot all over the camp while he looks for his sword. Basically he is gonna attack every Goblin in the camp. Just keep him alive. Oh, and you, too.

this is just horrible, like all of the escort quests. every escort npc seems suicidal and brainless and wants to find an item instead of getting out alive. and if for once they don't need to find something first, they choose the longest and most dangerous possible route out of the place. in other words they sweep the whole place, aggroing every possible monster there is. and the best part is, if a player is aggroed by a monster, the escort npc ignores the player and continues running forward, aggroing even more. unless the npc is next to the player, but that happens rarely due to the haste they are in. these npcs die very fast too.

to be safe, don't accept ANY escort quests in this game, unless you have a group. :P

Really?

I was actually just coming here to say "w00t I soloed it!"

Then again, the quest is level 17 and I'm 21...

Anyway, run ahead of the guy, make sure you get aggro first, and keep yourself healed. Ta-da!
