Mountain Basil  

My level 6 captain, created for the sole purpose of crafting, needed this for his Expert Cook quest. When I discovered it was a foraged object in a zone very unfriendly to level 6es, I said "well, that's dumb!"

Nonetheless, I decided to give it a whirl.

As it turns out, I never got aggro from a single mob, and running there didn't take anywhere near as long as I thought it would.

The loc of 31.4s, 36.1w was correct for me. Follow the slim dark path upwards.

I searched around with my level 30 Guardian and only found one location which it does match the location shown on the map [31.4s, 35.9w]. The Mountain Basil is blinking (only for the questor) so it is definitely a quest item but I made it there easily with my Cook, who is a level 12 Champion but as an alt only has minimal equipment. There were a few orange & red mobs but I dodged them on the way there but had to fight a few on my way out. I chose to attack the birds since the are half the HP (Morale) as the boars and goblins.

As a note I had to buy Yellow Onionsfrom the Auction House because none of the NPC's listed sell the item. And I have yet to see them as a ground spawn. Now I have to find some Taters for the Spiced Potatos which are ground spawn only and not listed on Allakhazam yet.
