Hunters need to kill this mob for the quest Articles of Discovery which isn't currently listed on Allakhazam. The quest is collected from Fenton Marshley who stands to the left of the Hunting Lodge in Archet @ 24.8S, 46.9W.

Update:

I collected the 5 Tarkrip helmets very easily at lvl 47 from the Tarkrip camps in the northern-most lakes in Malenhad, Angmar - east of Aughaire (approx 1.0N, 32.6W, but just above the initial M in Malenhad on the map).
